We’ve all heard the argument that starts with the claim of “This is the best beer ever!!!” Due to a lack of substantiating evidence, it seems this argument always ends with the age-old question of, “So what is the best beer ever?”

This site was founded to answer that question once and for all, and we won’t stop until we find it. Here, you’ll find a systematic, tournament-style approach designed to determine the ultimate brew. We’ll be using objective tastings and more importantly your opinions to help narrow down the field, ultimately arriving at our champion.

But, we’ve already completed two full tournament here at Brewlimination. The first 64-beer bracket kicked off in July 2010, and ultimately named our first 3 medalists in late October! (Click here for a detailed summary of the first tournament.) The second tournament ran from late December 2010 through March 2011, before finally naming a new set of medalists.

We are currently not running an active tournament, but when we do finally resume, here’s a rough post schedule to help you keep track of things:

• Monday – Friday: One match per day, with the winner announced around 4pm.  Polls for each day’s match will close at 3 PM of the same day.
• Saturday: A sort of “review/preview” post – summarizing the previous week’s events, and looking forward to the week to come.  We’ll also highlight some of our favorite beer-related articles from around the net.
• Sunday: We’ll be taking Sunday to rest, and to drink beer of course.
