Truly Extraordinary, the Second Sweep of the Tournament!

It was quite an extraordinary day both for us and for Southern Tier. We received the most traffic and votes that we ever have which is great, we finished the first round of Division 1, and Southern Tier can celebrate a unanimous trip to the next round. Here are today’s reviews:

John: Deciding a winner for this match was a tough order.  Both beers presented with the classic pale ale look, and brought equally impressive traits to the table.  When both beers have an incredibly balanced aroma and taste, and both with great flavors, it makes it difficult to pick a winner.  In fact, in my book this was practically a dead tie.  Ultimately though, I chose in favor of Southern Tier’s Phin & Matt’s Extraordinary Ale.

Brad: Yet another fun but difficult decision for me because they both have their strong points. The extraordinary ale is in unlikely combination that is delicious and consistent all the way through, but the Doggie Style Pale is a great wing beer, which scores big points with me. In the end I think I need to put my love of wings and the beers associated with them aside and go with the beer that is a great tasting beer from start to finish, the Southern Tier Matt and Phin’s Extraordinary Ale. Kudos to both of these beers and good luck to Matt and Phin, the last round 1 winner from Division 1.

Fans: Again, thank you all for telling your friends and really taking the ball and running with it. You made it a clean sweep today, and almost a landslide one at that, giving Southern Tier Extraordinary Ale a 12% victory 56-44, and making it the second 3-0 to move on. Check back tomorrow because the action never stops here at Brewlimination and we will have the first match of Division 2 comin at ya!
